Children’s health is not the same as adult’s health.

This is in the same way that children may exhibit different symptoms from adults for the same medical condition. Moreover, children have distinct yet diverse needs that change as they grow older. With these in mind, we’re dedicated to catering to the unique needs of children as they grow and develop.

Our centre brings together a team of specialists who assess, diagnose and treat a wide range of paediatric specialities. Expect high quality patient care in a family centred and supportive environment for you and your little ones.

Our Children's Health

Eye diseases and visual problems can also occur in children, and there are certain conditions that affect only children. Screening should be done at 6 months, followed by a second visit between ages 3 – 5. Once children start school, annual screening is recommend. Regular eye screening is very important as many eye diseases can be treated when it is detected early.

Paediatric Orthopaedics

Children are also susceptible to orthopaedic disorders, deformities and injuries. Paediatric Orthopaedics focuses on musculoskeletal care for new-borns, up to teenagers, which are the muscles, joints, and bones. This includes and not limited to congenital disorders, sports and post-traumatic injuries, scoliosis, developmental and growth abnormalities, and problems of the musculoskeletal system. Common orthopaedic issues in children include knock-knees, bowlegs, and in-toeing.

Certain orthopaedics conditions are normal and children will outgrow it over time so there might be no need to panic. It is important though to monitor the symptoms for signs of aggravation or alleviation. Be sure to consult a doctor for timely diagnosis and treatment as it can have lifelong suffering and pain for your child.

Paediatric Surgery

A subspecialty of general surgery, paediatric surgery deals with children from their birth right up to their teenage years for diseases, trauma and malformations. This is the only branch of surgical subspecialty that is defined by the age of a patient instead of a specific condition. A paediatric surgeon performs pre-operative examinations and dianosis, and follows up on the
patient’s progress post-surgery.

Common procedures performed include circumcision, hernia repair, correction of undescended testis, and orchiopexy.

We understand that parents often face anxiety and worry when their child needs to undergo surgery. Ask as many questions as you need, so that everyone will be prepared and at ease before the surgery. No question is too trivial for our paediatric surgeon who is experienced in dealing with parents and kids alike.

Paediatric Dermatology

Children are more prone to skin conditions such as eczema, rashes, psoriasis, warts and moles, molluscum, pimples and allergies. These conditions also tend to exhibit unique symptoms in children. Paediatric dermatologists specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of skin, hair and nail conditions in babies, children and adolescents.
