Dr. Malisa Ami specialises in Ophthalmology, Paediatric Ophthalmology as well as Laser Vision Correction. Her areas of expertise include cataract surgery, squint surgery, laser refractive surgery, diabetic laser and injection treatment as well as myopia progression control in children. Dr Malisa is also a committee member of the Malaysian Advocacy for Myopia Prevention, which is affiliated with the Malaysian Society of Ophthalmology. She is associated with the Malaysian Society of Ophthalmology, World Society of Paediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus, Asia Pacific Association of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons and Malaysian Paediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus Group (MYPOS). Dr. Malisa Ami was awarded the Excellence in Service Award by UKM Medical Centre in 2015 and the Phase Two Foundation Scholarship by Queen’s University of Belfast, United Kingdom.
