Nasopharyngeal Cancer (NPC)

This type of head and neck cancer starts in the nasopharynx, which is the upper part of the throat at the very back of the nose. NPC can initially be diagnosed by our ENT specialist through a nasal endoscopy, a procedure which is typically painless and comfortable. No further tests are usually necessary if it shows a normal nasopharynx. If there is a suspicion or presence of a tumour, a biopsy of this is performed.
